Of course there are not living only cichlids in Lake Malawi but there's also existing an extensive wealth of other species and organisms like some species of killifish, different kind of eals and catfish, "Barbus" likes, some "Labeo" species, freshwater mussels and other shell-fish, snails, crabs and other cancroids, freshwater sponges etc.
Unfortunately in trade there are not much of these non-cichlids offered, mainly because a lot of these species are growing too tall and because of that they are not interesting enough for commerce. We came across these species :
